Copyright Review Committee invites stakeholders to public meeting

The Copyright Review Committee will host a public meeting next Monday 4th July, in the Robert Emmet Lecture Theatre, Room 2037 Arts Block, Trinity College Dublin, to discuss its work. Photographer shot after second night of rioting

In another reminder of how dangerous photojournalism can sometimes be Niall Carson, a photographer with the Press Association based out of the Dublin Office,  was shoot during a second night of riots in Belfast last night. Niall is in a stable condition in hospital. He has requested, through the Press Photographers Association of Ireland, time to recover and be with his family. Did the Irish Times Release Images to the Gardai?

The Irish Times, Ireland's "paper of record", has today refused to comment on rumours that they released images, taken by one of their photographers, to the Garda Siochana as a result of a court order served on them. The images are understood to relate to the Queen's recent visit.

Student Photographers Exhibit work at the Griffith College Creative Fortnight

The Photography Exhibition was the culmination of the Griffith College Creative Fortnight; an annual showcase of student work throughout the year. The show opened with a film screening from award winning director Paddy Breathnach and guests were treated to a display of the outstanding work which has been created by the students over the last three years.
