Historical Photographic Processes

Later this month in The Centre for Creative Practices Ian Mitton will be giving a talk on historic photographic processes. The lecture will investigate the expressive possibilities of the Cyanotype and Van Dyke processes. Different chemistry formulas, emulsions, coating methods and paper choices will be discussed and a selection of works developed using these techniques will be presented. Cameras Stolen in Wexford

I have been asked to ask you to keep an eye out for some cameras that were stolen in Wexford recently. The items taken were  a Fuji Panoramic GX 617 with a 90mm, 180mm and 300mm lens - this is a pretty unusual camera system. Also a Pentax 6x7 with a 150mm lens and an X-Pan 35mm camera. New Photographic Magazine for Ireland

Blow Magazine, which will launch it's first official issue next month is currently looking for entries to their two competitions, one Editorial and one Single Image. The Editorial competition calls for a submission of four to eight images with the winner having their picture narrative published. Their Single Image competition is for one image to be published.
