Are you unchallenged by your photography? Maybe it is not inspiring you or it simply bores you. All creatives go through dry periods from time to time - but it is how you deal with it that sets you apart. Recently award winning photographer David Cantwell told photographers.ie that in late 2008 he was experiencing a low period in his creativity.  He felt his photography was stale (despite winning numerous awards) ...

Frank Quinn in South Georgia & Rob Lee in Argentina. Traveling to Antarctica with my 16 yr old son Rob we first spent a week in Buenos Aries, with an overnight stay at The Iguazú Falls on the Brazil-Argentina border, it’s the widest waterfall in the world (featured in the Mission, Moonraker and the most recent Indiana Jones movie). Wedding Photography Charges

Posted on Saturday, Apr 24th, 2010 in The IPWS Blog by Alan Murphy

Budgets are very topical in Ireland - I know - photographers have bills too. Bling is out and modest is in. Wedding couples are looking for ways to get their wedding budget down. Stress Levels on the Up

Posted on Thursday, Apr 1st, 2010 in The IPWS Blog by Alan Murphy

It's enough to say that stress levels at photographers.ie have been rising of late.  I won't go into too much detail but we all know the types of things that can cause this.  Some are significant and some not so, some I have control over and some I can only ride the wave, some I can fix today and some I have to wait for others to respond.  So ...

Posted on Monday, Mar 22nd, 2010 in The IPWS Blog by Dominic Lee | 6 Comments

"Not the right time" I hear them say, well when is the right time? I bought the Priory Studios building in the early 90s when interest rates were around 15% and so many people said "it´s not the right time". Judging from the amount of flack the Irish Professional Photographers Association was getting on the Licence for photographers blog on this site (many were so nasty I refused to publish ...
