Video news stories on photographers.ie

As regulars to photographers.ie will know we are always looking at ways to improve our service to site visitors. I spent yesterday in The Guinness Storehouse, Dublin, at a Canon Training Day and learned a little about shooting HD video on an EOS 7D SLR. I am a stills photographer but I am interested in this new technology because I want to start introducing some multimedia elements to the website. However like everything these things have to be costed and while it would be super to shoot Hollywood style mini documentaries immediately I have to justify outlay against possible income opportunities.

So for the time being I will be learning about the craft and experimenting with various options. In the beginning they will be very simple – but so what.  The point of this website  is to bring the public and photographers news and information about the photographic industry in an interesting and informative way – and that’s what I’ll be endeavour to do – to the best of my ability (and budget.)  Hope you join me for some of the journey.

With that in mind if any of you have products you want us to review, new premises you want us to visit or people you want us to interview please drop us a line.

Also if  you have any suggestions on equipment for video casting set ups please let me know.

While I await your tips I will study this video on how to “Report the News”.
