Birth of a nation – Supplement in Irish Independent
Tuesday, Apr 27th, 2010 in Photography News by Alan Murphy | 3 Comments
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week the Irish Independent publishes three supplements, which cover the 1916 Rising, the War of Independence and the Civil War. Adding up to a combined 80 pages, these historic supplements include many rarely seen pictures, printed in large format, making these three magazines particularly memorable.
The supplements are being published by the Irish Independent in association with the National Photographic Archive at the National Library of Ireland.
Each supplement will contain a chronology on the period plus a keynote article by a leading historian.

I am living in Tampa, Florida, United States and have a cousin in Carlow, Ireland, who showed me copies of the supplements – parts 1, 2 and 3 – and I was wondering how I could obtain copies. My ancestors are from Ireland and I have a great interest in Irish history. Please let me know how I could obtain copies of these supplements. I have read and own at least four of the books by Tim Pat Coogan. Thank you, Christopher Regan Ferree
