Aran Island photography exhibition by Doreen Kennedy

Doreen Kennedy’s exhibition re:location is a series of photomontages and photography documenting the Aran Islands. The exhibition runs from October 26th – November 15th at The Kenny Gallery, High Street / Middle Street, Galway.
Creating the photomontages, Kennedy documented an area from one point of view with digital photography. Using new media technology, the images are then stitched together in layers to recreate the location in 2d format. The intention is to record the experience of being in a particular location and the images provide a reaction to the environment.
