Over the last 15 years, Source magazine has published work by artists including Turner Prize nominees Phil Collins and Willie Doherty, plus Paul Seawright, and writing by Colm Toibin, Tom Paulin and Geoffrey Batchen.

As well as publishing established artists, Source’s editors are committed to searching out the best new work by holding regular portfolio days throughout Ireland and the UK.

The magazine celebrates the publication of its 50th issue on 26 March 2007 with a new look: another highly individual format (from the previous landscape to the new ‘off square’), a re-design, a new size (from 72 to 88 pages), and more features.

Source will also be marking its new look 50th issue with re-launch events at the following venues:

Belfast Exposed, 23 March 2007
Gallery of Photography, Dublin, 24 March

The centrepiece of each evening will be a panel-based photo quiz with visual aids, ‘pitting the insight and vision of curators and academics against the intuitive practical wisdom of photographers and artists in an epic battle for the very soul of lens-based media.’
